I used to say, before computers and internet, that it was the librarians and people who knew where to find out where or what information others needed who were the heroes of knowledge - the ones who would always have job security.
Now I see, according to Seth Grodin, on one of his latest blog entries, Getting Meta perhaps they still will be in this new world.
